Asysco is pleased to announce the conclusion of a six-month project with the State of Florida’s Agency for Persons with Disabilities to migrate the agency’s mission-critical ABC application formerly running on a Unisys mainframe to the open source, web-enabled, AMT Visual Studio platform.
Using Asysco’s Automated Migration Technology, the project included the migration of all the screens, reports, jobs and data.
APD elected to convert the source code from XGEN to ASP.NET/C#, the data from DMSII to MS SQL Server 2005 and the OS from MCP to Windows Server 2008 R2 (x64)
In October 2004, the Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) became an agency separate from the Department of Children and Families, specifically tasked with serving the needs of Floridians with developmental disabilities. Prior to that time, it existed as the Developmental Disabilities Program.
The APD works in partnership with local communities and private providers to assist people who have developmental disabilities and their families. APD also provides assistance in identifying the needs of people with developmental disabilities for supports and services.
